Lucretia A. Atti
CEO

Lucretia has been with HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Erie since December 2009 in the role of Chief Nursing Officer. With almost 40 years of healthcare experience, she has worked in hospital and ambulatory surgery settings serving in senior management roles. Lucretia has clinical expertise in all aspects of the development and management of cardiology, behavioral, addiction, women’s services and ambulatory surgery programs. She is a “hands-on” administrator known for her abilities to work well with senior management, physicians, staff and board of directors. Lucretia has served as a coordinator for OASAS, CARF, The Joint Commission, AAAHC, MILMIC and many other regulatory agencies. She holds a bachelor's degree in nursing from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master's degree in health services administration from D'Youville College in Buffalo. She is licensed as a Registered Nurse in New York and Pennsylvania and is a member of many organizations in healthcare and an active patient advocate.


Douglas Grisier, DO
Medical Director
Douglas B. Grisier, D.O., serves as medical director at HealthSouth Erie. An Erie native, Dr. Grisier is a graduate of Gannon University and the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Millcreek Community Hospital. He has a longstanding relationship with HealthSouth Erie, including serving several terms as president of the hospital’s Medical Executive Committee. Dr. Grisier also serves as the family medicine residency program director for Millcreek Community Hospital and is on LECOM’s family medicine clinical faculty. He maintains a private practice with Medical Associates of Erie at Plaza 18 Medical Center in Erie.

Evelyn T-Armstrong, CRRN
Chief Nursing Officer
Evelyn was promoted to the chief nursing officer position in December 2011 after serving as HealthSouth’s hospital educator for more than 14 years. She came to HealthSouth with broad experience in nursing including serving in roles of nurse manager and department head. Evelyn received her bachelor's degree in nursing from Kent State University. She is a Certified Registered Rehabilitation Nurse (CRRN®), and most recently completed her master's degree in nursing education from Mansfield University.

Shelly R. Mayes, OTR/L
Director of Therapy Operations
Shelly was promoted to the position of director of therapy operations after serving the hospital as a staff occupational therapist since September of 2005. Shelly is a graduate of East Carolina University and has nearly 20 years experience as a practicing occupational therapist. She is responsible for developing, directing and supervising all aspects of the hospital's therapy operations, in an effort to further its mission by meeting or exceeding rehabilitation outcomes and goals.

Susan Peters, MA, CCC/SLP
Susan Peters originally joined HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital of Erie in 1986 as a speech and language pathologist. She received a bachelor's degree in speech and hearing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania and a master's degree in speech-language pathology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. Susan assumed positions in neuroscience program development, assisting in the development of stroke, neurology and pediatric programs. Susan has led the hospital’s team effort to achieve The Joint Commission (TJC) Disease-Specific Care Certification for its Stroke, Parkinsons' disease and Brain Injury programs.

Lori L. Gibbens
Controller
Lori joined HealthSouth Erie in October of 1991. She has served as the hospital's controller since June of 2005. A native of Erie, Lori earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Mercyhurst College.

Dawn Duran, BSW
Dawn was promoted to the position of director of case management and utilization review in 2010. She graduated from Edinboro University and began her career as a social worker in long-term health care. She advanced to the level of director of social work prior to joining Lake Erie Institute of Rehabilitation (now HealthSouth) in 1989 as a social worker. Since HealthSouth's acquisition of the hospital, she has served in many capacities during her tenure including social worker, case manager, case management coordinator and rehab liaison. Dawn also serves as the region's coordinator for the American Parkinsons' Disease Association.

William C. Robinson, SPHR
Bill joined HealthSouth of Erie in March of 1998 as the Director of Human Reources. In addition to his role at the hospital, Bill has particiapted in select training initiatives at various HealthSouth locations across the country. In 2001, Bill earned a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the Human Resources Certification Institute.

Judi Stefurak, RN
Director of Risk Management
Judi is a seasoned health care professional and has been with HealthSouth Eire for more than 25 years. She has served in various capacities during her tenure at HealthSouth, including director of nursing and patient care coordinator. Providing department oversight, she currently directs risk management. She attended St. Vincent School of Nursing and Slippery Rock State University in Pennsylvania.

Mary Johnson, RN, BSN
Director of Quality
Mary began serving in the capacity of Director of Quality in August of 2010 bringing with her more than 20 years of experience in Behavioral Health. She has served in a variety of roles including, Staff Nurse, Assistant Nurse Manager, Nurse Manager and Case Manager in clinical areas such as Neurology, Neurosurgery, Orthopedics and Trauma.  Prior to joining HealthSouth, she worked in Utilization Review.

Bill Chiaramonte
Plant Operations Manager
Bill joined the hospital in April of 2006 as the director of plant operations. An Erie native, Bill previously served as an electronics instructor in the Air Force. Since his discharge in 1974, Bill has worked exclusively in health care maintenance, first in an acute care setting and then in long-term care prior to coming to HealthSouth. Bill achieved certification by the American Hospital Association as a Certified Health Care Facility Manager in December 2008.
